Narai Hotel: Sleeping on Silom Rd. Narai Hotel Review

A popular hotel for groups, nicely located between the river and the Night Market. We stayed here. The rooms were fine, but not impressive. What I loved best was the breakfast buffet that included Japanese options, such as sushi!

Shangri-La: It doesn't get much better than this ... Shangri-La Review

Unique Qualities: We spent a happy hour after lunch sipping coffee and playing backgammon at a table next to the pool. We enjoyed "playing rich" -- and put this hotel on our list for a splurge if we get back here!

Shangri-La: Almost paradise ... Shangri-La Review

We just ate here, but it was clear from walking through the front door and the lobby to the cafe on the river that this was a beautiful and discreetly run hotel.

Unique Qualities: This picture is of the very modern lobby with stunning views of the river. The green items are stunning glass sculptures.
