Thailand in December

by shrimp56 - last update: Aug 16, 2005

Bangkok is a large sprawling metropolis -- noisy, crowded and dirty -- but there are oases of beauty and calm that make the rest worth it. Among those is the Grand Palace complex. It includes the famed "emerald buddha" -- the picture above is just as we entered the grounds. What it doesn't show are the wall-to-wall crowds!

Enjoyed your BKK tips, especially the Golden Temple. It is a magnificent compound - ain't it?
