Our group went to Maha Sarakham to visit the university there. This side trip was arranged by one of our group's leaders who had been a guest lecturer at the university previously.

We weren't here for the town, but to experience rural NE Thailand in the hands of wonderful Thai hosts. |

The better option is Taksila, the new hotel. Like Vasu this is close to the canal but on the other side of the centre. If you want a cheaper option try the trainng hotel in Mahasarakham Rajabhat University. | catalysta Mon May 22, 2006 16:48 UTC
