The day our group was scheduled to visit Versailles we had a really violent wind and rainstorm. Somehow it stopped long enough for me to briefly visit the gardens, which, alas, had been the point of my assignment for our students. Oh well. A few intrepid souls made it out there anyway.

Too bad the weather was so inclement when you were in Versailles. Yours are the only photos I have seen that show large puddles all over the gardens.
