Eat a meal/ have a drink in a restaurant/cafe with a garden! It never fails. The very first nice day in late march and the places with gardens, even if just a slab of concrete and a tree in the back, are PACKED with New Yorkers desperate for warm weather and foliage. My favorite restaurants with Gardens include (places with stars will get separate listings): - *Cheers Thai Restaurant in Williamsburg Brooklyn (Lorimer Stop) - *Life Cafe in Alphabet City - *Yaffa Cafe on St. Marks Place - Cloisters Cafe on E. 9th Street - Vera Cruz Mexican in Williamsburg Brooklyn (Bedford Stop) Trees. Flowers. Fountains. Fairy Lights.
