Traveling...There's almost nothing I'd rather do (I like to plan two major trips per year--not that I really have the $ for this, but I travel very cheaply).
I live in New York City (Brooklyn) and I've been a New Yorker for life.
I haven't updated this page in forever, so here goes...
I used to travel a hell of a lot. Then, I decided it would be a grand idea to co-own a bar in New York City. This of course, put an end to the amount of traveling I was used to! In the time span of owning the bar, I was able to go to Spain and Lisbon for a few weeks, which I absolutely adored, and two years later to Ireland to travel a bit and see my friend who was getting married.
I got out of the business this past November 2006 and now I'm looking to plan a bunch of trips.
My favorite cities are: New Orleans, Barcelona, Prague and Paris. I am a writer and these are the cities that have wrenched my gut more than anywhere.
One such place that had an invaluable effect on my writing was Pompeii (I wrote about it on my Naples page).
Future plans include a trip to Italy and Berlin in November, and HOPEFULLY Thailand next year.
What else?
I'm a writer (finishing my second novel which features my beloved Coney Island), book bands for a Manhattan night club, where I also tend bar most nights during the week.
