Nomad Habib with VT Flag in the Sahara Desert.

This page is a momento of our awesome desert trip with Sahara Dreams Maroc. This is the 4x4 we were to spend the next 5 days in and we could not have had a better guide than Habib.

Habib was born as a Nomad in the desert. His home town is M'Hamid which is a small town right on the edge of the Sahara desert.

Not only is Habib the owner of the company but he also drives tourists like us around his countryside. He employs other drivers as well and we met one at the desert campsite who was hosting a group from France.

It was an honour and a privilege to have Habib look after us.

Not only were we going to see the Atlas Mountains, Dades Gorges, Kasbahs, the place where they made Star Wars, Valley of the palms, Raids, see small villages, go 4x4 dune bashing, see oasis and camp under the stars in the desert, but we were also going to have the pleasure of meeting Nomads and having tea with them in their caves....something that not everyone gets to do on the big tours. And sharing lunch a couple of times with Habib's family.....that was a treat.

So we went off the beaten path and Habib looked after us. Please follow along our story in the travelogues below. And if you are thinking of doing a Sahara desert trip then I urge you to book with Sahara Dreams Maroc.

Your trip looks FAB! I've always wanted to go to Morocco, but now it's looking like another place I will never get to, so thanks for the wonderful photos and Virtual tour.

Great page Ann! Brought back so many happy memories of my trips to Morocco - though unlike you, I certainly wouldn't wish to ever ride a camel again!!! Once/ Twice was more than enough for me!
