If you are following our big Europe trip and our car travel through Germany you will know that we left the beautiful Rothenburg Ob Der Tauber and were headed towards our next destination to view a gorgeous castle in Mespelbrunn.

When planning our journey from Rothenburg Ob Der Tauber to Mespelbrunn I knew it was only 2 and a half hours so.....what to see along the way?

So I equipped myself with google maps and images and checked out all the places I could find along the way and came up with this cute place called Kitzingen.

There was even a page here on vt that had some nice pictures.

Well there wasn't a great deal here and when we arrived Howie and Birgit thought it would be a waste of time....but I was persistant. I knew that this place had some of the nicest river scenery I had seen whilst planning the trip.

So...we found a parking place and went for a wander.....
