So, where to base ourselves? I chose Torremolinos as it is near Malaga where we flew into from Morocco and also because of the great recommendation from my vt friends that visit often - waalewiener, LoriPori and gillybob.
Hubby wanted to drive again in Spain and was looking forward to checking out the hilly countryside so what better way to do this than hire a convertible :o) Hubby was smitten! ...
And I must admit, I enjoyed it too :o)
Of course the first thing we did when we arrived at our Hotel in Torremolinos was to try the local brew.
San Miguel....not a bad drop :o)
- Pros:Lovely beach, great shopping, central location
- Cons:Touristy, crowded, not the best seafood
- In a nutshell:A great base to see southern Spain
