I found Adelaide like a big country town with nice parks and gardens. We moved there for hubby's work, doing environmental landcare projects. We lived at Jamestown - mid north and Edithburgh in the little foot bit west of Adelaide called the Yorke Peninsular. Both had different charaters. Jamestown had the good old country charm and Edithburgh is a very quiet coastal village. SA has a lot of 'Ports!' - Pt Augusta, Pt Pirie, Pt Adelaide, Pt Lincoln, Pt Elliot, Pt Noarlunga, Pt Gawler, Pt, Willunga, Pt MacDonnell and a whole heap on the Yorke Peninsula and Eyre Peninsula.

unaS Fri Sep 26, 2008 16:37 UTC Yes, I too remember Adelaide mostly for the lovely parks there. | BillNJ Tue Jul 29, 2008 14:48 UTC Nice page. The surrounding area looks very scenic. | jo104 Wed Jul 25, 2007 14:35 UTC I may have to come to Adelaide in my Aus trip, yes I promise I will do it but most likely Melbourne, Sydney & Adelaide are the most doable in short time?? | SLLiew Thu May 31, 2007 20:53 UTC Great page of Adelaide. Adelaide is the twin city of George Town, Penang. The founder of George Town, Captain Francis Light was the uncle of the founder of Adelaide. |
