Adelaide River Travel Guide: 20 reviews and 110 photos
The township is a convenient stop along the way from Darwin to Katherine.
We stayed here at the Caravan Park on our big downunder Survivor Trip.
Adelaide River is also the home of Charlie who starred in the Crocodile Dundee movies.
Apparently they had to chop off his legs to get him into the pub here...poor fella.
- Pros:Home of Charlie from Crocodile Dundee and interesting historical war cementary.
- Cons:Noisy Road Trains.
- In a nutshell:Good place for a pit stop, fuel and feed but I would stay overnight somewhere else.

Looks like the "Survivors" had a nice time in Adelaide River, tho it does look a little cool at the campground. Free BBQ at Grove Hill Pub sounds inviting
Good to see more of your Survivor Meet adventures - I like the sound of the Grove Hill Pub, and love your videos of it too :-)
