Ahhh Queensland!! Beautiful one day.....Perfect the next!!! How true is this famous saying :o) Well I'm a Qld'er so can't help being biast hehee.
Anyway, just recently, my youngest daughter and I had a short holiday in Brissy. My goodness how it's changed! I used to think it was a country hick town with not much to see and do. Well now!.....not so today!!
Brissy is certainly up there as one of the 'must see' places in Australia!!
We had a fabulous time, especially since I was also catching up with my best friend and old best friend from school I havn't seen in 32 years!!
And although we didn't do a great deal of the touristy things because we were so busy catching up, I did get to see my old house and I'll show you the sights of Redcliffe, Sandgate, Kallangur, Petrie, Bribie Island north of Brisbane, and also some of the quaint homes there that reminded me of my childhood. This definately was a real nastalgia trip for me and I'd love to share with you my happy memories :o)

2009 update. Just arrived back home from the big downunder vt meet in Airlie Beach. A few of us were visiting Brisbane so stevemt decided to host a mini vt meet. Well what a great idea!! We had quite a big turn out and great fun! See my travelogue below.
Hopefully one day Steve might host the big one in Brisbane as there is plenty of stuff to do and see in my little hometown :o)
