No trip to Perth is complete without visiting Freo as the locals fondly refer to Fremantle.
Freo is full of lovely outdoorsy restaurants, street entertainment, markets and lovely old buildings.
You can get there easily by Captain Cook Ferries or by train.
Ferries to Rotto (Rottnest Island) also leave from Freo. |

I love the old historical buildings in Fremantle. It certainly has a lovely European atmosphere. This is one of the major things that draw people to this place. Well apart from the wonderful side walk cafes, coffee shops and pubs.

Speaking of food, when you visit Freo you simply must call into Little Creatures Brewery for a great feed and a famous Little Creatures Pale Ale.
