Local Customs: The Perth Royal Show

If you are visiting Perth in September then perhaps you would like to go to the Perth Royal Show. Check out the link below for the date. The easiest way to access the showgrounds is by train on the Fremantle line. They have special show trains. This year you can purchase your show tickets from any IGA shop.

If you happen to be in Perth on 26th January, this is our Australia Day and consequently fireworks. Just make sure you arrive early and get a good spot along the river front. It's a big family get together here in PerthLotterywest Australia Day Skyworks

Local Customs: Red Bull Air Show

Perth is the home of the Red Bull Air Races.
Held every year in November right on the shores of the famous Swan River, this spectacular event is a great day out for all the family.
We went up to Kings Park for a bird eye view. I'm proud to say that I actually captured on video & camera the big bomber that screamed past! This thing was loud!!...Check out my video & the pic inside :o) You could hear it way before you actually saw the thing :o) And it zoomed off up into the sky and dissapeared, only to appear again coming straight down out of nowhere!! It was very exciting indeed :o)
