We stayed for a night at Rydges Perth in Hay street and found it very comfortable. A yummy hot breakfast was included in the price. It is very close to the shopping mall and transport and the Swan river is not far. Highly recommended.

Ibis Hotels are everywhere in Australia. They offer cheap accommodation but are quite comfortable & worth a look. The Ibis Hotel in Perth is in a very good position right in the heart of Perth. Hubby & I decided to stay one night to make sure it was ok for my fellow vt'ers :o) Although the rooms are quite small, we found it to be good for the price and I can therefore recommend it for your stay in Perth. Also the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Aberdeen Lodge: Best Backpackers in Perth

If you are young and want to be where the action is, then the Aberdeen Lodge is in the right spot! It's located 2 streets behind the restaurant & nightclub alley of Perth - James Street and is next door and opposite to the best 2 nightclub venues in town - The Shed and The Deen. The place looks nice from the outside with a tropical garden look but I hear that it is not so clean on the inside. However if you are young and love to party, then for a bargain price and location as well as a good place to meet people from all around the world, I would look no further than the Aberdeen Lodge.

Directions: Aberdeen Street is in a great location & the free bus service, the blue cat, stops right out the front. You couldn't get anything this cheap in a better spot in Perth.

Perth YHA: Location Location!

Perth YHA is a relatively new backpackers accommodation. The location is just right!...being in a good area and not far from the city centre and train station. DennyP and Bijo69 have stayed here and say that the rooms are big and staff helpful and it's also nice and clean.

Hubby & I recently attended my work Staff Ball and didn't want to travel home after so we booked this Hotel. The price was right.....under $100A and the room had a view over the park leading to the Bell Tower on the river. The room was quite spacious and neat even though the building is quite old.....and you can't hear any traffic noise even though you are on the Esplanade which is quite a busy little street.
Centrally located and a hop, skip & jump to the Swan River, you should have a look at booking this hotel for your next holiday to Perth. Check out the site below.
