We had been looking forward to going to Europe for over 10 years. I joined vt in 2001 for that reason and have never left this fantastic site.

Now finally our big trip arrived and with much help from my vt mates I was able to plan our journey using the vt Trip Planner to save some great tips and we were off on an awesome 5 week adventure from Zurich, through Germany, Belgium and into Amsterdam, down to Paris, across to Morocco and back to Spain ending in Barcelona.

What an adventure!! Please follow along in my travelogues below as I give a quick brief on the places we visited and vt'ers we met along the way.

Ahhh Paris! City of Looove! :o)

Paris was first on my list of places to see. I have always wanted to visit Paris! :o) It was everything I had ever hoped for and more!

I planned our journey around Paris. Orignally we were thinking of doing Europe in 2012 but when I saw the big Paris meet go up here on vt....that was it! I couldn't be swayed! :o) And what a meet it was!.. The only disappointing thing was that big G didn't turn up.

Anyway, Paris was a dream come true for me...and what made it more special is that hubby presented me with a gorgeous eternity ring at our vt dinner. So sweet! :o)

Lake Albufera Valencia Spain by aussirose

Valencia, Spain was a pleasant surprise for us. Actually there were plenty of nice surprises along the way. You can do so much in planning a trip but there will always be some place that you just want to stay a bit longer in :o)

Oh well, that just opens up another opportunity to visit again doesn't it ;o)

This page is all about our trip and I hope that by reading it you might be enticed to visit some of the places we did. Our journey was not about hopping from one city to the other. Hubby and I also like to take in a bit of nice countryside and we certainly did that by driving a lot of the way.

We also enjoyed train trips, flights, camel riding in the desert, driving a convertible in southern Spain, canal trips and a horse and carriage adventure.

There were plenty of new experiences for us to see along the way like lovely old Clocks, cute tudar timber houses, quaint cobbled stone streets, amazing old walled cities, beautiful Castles and Palaces, gorgeous canals, lovely old buildings and stunning views over Cities and valleys etc. We did it all!! :o)

My travelogues are a quick capture of the places we saw and the things that we did. As you read along, I refer to my pages here on vt. Hi Ann, I’ve just been following your progress around Europe on your big tour last year. Fine photos in your tips and travelogues! I’m glad I was able to meet you on one of your stops, namely Paris.
