World city extraordinaire!

Even after all the mayhem in New York, I still find it hard to believe this all happened. I'd like to keep my old picture of the NY skyline here though, as a reminder of how grand it was. I'm confident that the New Yorkers will get over what happened and make their city the hub of the world once more!

The ultimate world city, and I feel so lucky that I got to see so much of it! From May-September 1996 I lived and worked in New York. I was doing an internship at a travel company as part of my studies in the Netherlands. Luckily, I found a place to live in Manhattan, and as work was right off Times Square, I got a brilliant insight on the everlasting bustle of this city that never sleeps. I try to go back every once in a while, but it's hard to keep up with the latest developments as things change all the time over here. Still, hopefully this page will be of some use for people who want to explore the Big Apple themselves - lucky bastards!

Glad you enjoyed the USA! I'd love to make it to Ireland someday. I have relatives still living there I have never met. And of course I want to enjoy the famed Irish Pubs!
