Lake Martignano is about 3 kilometers from the small town of Anguillara. We spent a day here and it is a great place. It is a fairly difficult place to get to, but is beautiful when you get there. The lake is very tranquil possibly due to its difficult access. We parked the car at the top of a hill and the walk down was steep and not very even so take care. Every so often we would catch glimpses of shimmering blue water through the trees and when we got there......WOW! The children had great fun playing in the water and it is very safe. There were not any amenities where we were so take everything you will need for the day with you, water, sun screen and food.

Ahaaa - thought this was our secret! Great place and worth the trek from Rome.
