Wonderful old car in La Habana!

Welcome to my little corner at VT :-) I have not travelled much at all, but the world is a fascinating place and is becoming smaller every day! My first ''big'' journey was in 1984 when I went to Mexico City to see my sister and I was also lucky enough to visit Cuba. Both of these places have special corners in my heart.

Since then my next couple of holidays were to Rome, Italy. These trips were with my young son Daniel. We both love this country and our memories of it are wonderful.

I first joined VT in April 2001 and became addicted to this site VERY quickly! I found the chat room fairly soon after and made many friends there. Guess I did ok there, cos they made me a moderator for a time!! In December 2001 I found myself with a few days alone and some serious thinking that needed to be done, so I took advantage of an offer of a cup of coffee from Chat Channel Manager, VTmember Skipper, Danny.

Danny lived in Antwerp, so I booked a plane ticket, a hotel and off I went for a VT meeting!! Little did I realise that I would fall in love...not just with a city but with Danny too. In May 2002 he moved to Barnstaple, where I had moved in January, and in August 2002 we married.
