Might this be Eden?

A quiet spot on Sandibe reserve

A lovely spot on Sandibe's reserve.
Only 1.7 million people live in this country -- there is both desert and delta terrain. It is a real treat to fly over this country -- rather like a geography lesson. The discovery of diamonds has allowed the government to focus on preserving the natural gifts present here. The tourist industry is developing carefully and offering some wonderful professional opportunities for its citizenry. From the people we met as we traveled, we discovered we were the novelty -- 1st timers on any type of safari. I think we started in one of the most impressive, extraordinary places we could have chosen.

I'd simply found an inviting package from ccafrica: two nights in each of three camps, Sandibe, Savute Safari Camp, and Nxabega. I'll post many pictures from each here, but it may take a while :-) There are so many to chose from! Please check the travelogues for more pictures.
While I can't share the gorgeous star-filled sky, this is what it looks like after the sun has just set. The view is over the waterhole in front of our chalet at Savute Safari Lodge.
The water levels in the Okavanga Delta this year are the highest they have been in generations. The fields and marsh grasses are lush and deep.

You were really lucky with your leopard sighting. What a superb photo! I worked in Botswana in the 80s. During many trips to the northern gameparks I only ever saw Leopard once - in neighbouring Zimbabwe ! I bet you had the time of your life. Mike
