On a drive through parts of Europe we stopped for a while in Innsbruck, a city I've long wanted to visit.
It's an ancient and very attractive medieval city dominated by mountains with a wide main street and fascinating small streets and lanes all around it.
Considering how well its name is known it's a surprisingly small city, population only about 120,000 so it has that lovely small country town feel to it. It's also not as crowded and has a much more relaxed atmosphere than larger cities. |
