SLOVENIA
I arrived about 8 pm..secured my luggage: coin-operated small compartment...& decided to spent the night at this camping ground in Smlednik...asked around how to get to this place which is about 17km away...
In fact, on that day/weekend I arrived, the hotels/hostels were fully booked because there was a music festival in town or something like that...
Managed to get the right bus....& hoping that the bus would get me to the place before the night set in....
This will continue to my Smlednik Page....

The following day 21st June, Saturday... from Smlednik (if you have been to my Smlednik Page, you would have read some nice experiences & encounters that I had in Smlednik !...) the driver dropped me off near this Supermarket & pointing to the direction where I should reach Tivoli Park....
Had to walk more than half an hour, I thought he said about 15 minutes....Anyway, reaching the park. watching this small competition of skating by some young girls....Some of them looked at me & had this expression "where's this guy from ?"...I just hope that wouldn't deter them for focussing on their steps....
Walking around the park....& found a swimming pool; decided to enter because I could take my morning shower in there !....
The admission fee...the guy said was valid for one whole day !..I was thinking what would I be doing for a one whole day in the swimming pool !? Swimming ?....but I had to pay the full amount anyway...
Didn't feel like arguing...paid the admission fee....& had my good hot shower in the shower room...& had a good swim in the pool....Had some chats with the guys in there...Told them about my trip....etc etc...
Out from the Pool, walking to the direction of the bus station.....had lunch somewhere there..& caught a bus to Bled....Nice journey from Ljubljana to Bled...

From Bled ( ....go to my Bled Page to read about the things I did & saw there, amazing place !)....reaching back Ljubljana on 23rd June, Monday....Collected my luggage & asked about the next train or bus to Zagreb....
At the Tourist Office in the train station, the guy there asked me why would I want to go to Zagreb, he said that I would be conned ! Well, I said that I had a friend there...so, I would know Zagreb better, I hope...Was adviced by this guy to take the train as the scenery would be amazing on the way....He asked for some Malaysian coins for souvenirs...Since I was not using them (the coins) I gave all the denominations to him ! He was so happy & asked me to wait for a while....
He then came back with 2 Slovenian Souvenir Coins....rare he said. I ws happy myself & thanked him...
The train came about 12.50 pm & changed at Dobova....The scenery was amazing in the journey from the Slovenian side...but it's full of drab buildings in the Croatian side......Still, I was looking forward to reach Zagreb.....I had a friend there ....What kind of person he was ?
Now comes the question: What Do I Think About Ljubljana ?...
The truth is I did not have a proper chance to discover Ljubljana better...but this city is a jumping off point...a hub; to some good destinations that I have been to....
Next Destination....Zagreb...

Nice little page about Ljubljana. Very informative. This capital city is still on my "Must-Visit" list ... :o)
