A Good Map...

Miscellaneous: Well, you don't really need a good map when visiting or walking around intagr Gorge as the areas are fully signed-posted. To give you some better orientation of the area, you could see here the map of Vintgar Gorge itself.
So that you know how far you would be walking, the check-points that you have to pass through, to prevent from getting lost obviously.
I got lost anyway ! It was worth the times anyhow, just to see the ruralness of Slovenia ! Photos & stories on my 'off the beaten path' tips.

Walking Gears...

Luggage and bags: You can leave your luggage or bags at the Entrance Office as you entered Vintgar Gorge.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: A good pair of walking shoes would be sufficient & make sure they are non-slippery because you would be walking on some bridges, over some small rivers & some bridges which clung to the rocks. They could get slippery.

Photo Equipment: Definitely a photo camera would be enough.
