A MUST SEE...
After walking (to me, hiking...) up & down Cachtice Hrad, me & Marek took the train to Trencin, another beautiful Slovak big town on the north of Slovakia. Trencin was our 3rd destination in Slovakia, after this nice town, we would continue to Kosice...on a night train!!!...the train departed around midnight...
Please look at some tips from me when in Trencin & have a peruse of many photos taken in Trencin in the travelogues below...

When I visited, the castle guide said his bit in Slovak, then repeated the entire thing in english just for me. He'd overheard me and my Slovak girlfriend speaking in english and took it upon himself to translate. No problems in Trencin. Loved it! | matcrazy1 Sat Aug 14, 2004 00:32 UTC
