I arrived in Krakow by a morning bus from Szczawnica...on Saturday 18th May, 2002; Greeted by Marisha...what a warm welcome!!
My 3rd day in Poland, out of 9 days...
Stayed 2 days in Krakow, taking times to visit Wieliczka on the same day!...& Auschwitz/Birkenau Death Camp,...or known as Oswiecim/Brzezinka respectively....; on the following day.
After Krakow, I would continue to Czestochowa my next destination in Poland, by train...
My itineraries prior to Krakow would be:
Szczawnica...a base to explore The Pieniny..
Nowy Targ..
Zakopane, which was a base to explore Tatrzanski Park Narodowy or The Tatra National Park....
Previously to that, I was in Slovakia & Austria respectively...
Please have a visit to all my Travel Pages according to the places & countries from the above....there are lots of places to discover & lots of photos to browse through!
Thank You.

Glad you enjoyed one of my favorite cities.
What a great page with excellent tips and pics ! Krakow is a place I would like to visit next year !
A great page, loads to see and do in Krakow and the area.
Hi Arnaud. Great page on Krakow. Very helpful and informative. This place looks really nice. Very helpful page and tips. Keep up the good work!!
Given Poland's unfortunate history of being coveted by various neighboring ations--it is incredible how many of the fantastic medieval buildings still stand. Must be like stepping back in time.
Great page. Many great photos and lots of good tips. I will print some of this out when I plan my trip for next year. Is there local transportation from the city to the death camp?
Lots of really good information and pictures.
Just one word: FANTASTIC! City and your pictures!
Thx for the tips - hoping to be there soon!
The barbican is certainly impressive, isn't it?
