On The Palenica Hill...

On The Palenica Hill, we could see excellent views over Szczawnica !
I took many photos ! The views over Szczawnica village down below look stunning in my photos !
If you have the time, do go up The Palenica Hill; By walking, climbing up or just take the hanging chair, just like I did !

Going Up !

I finally reached the top of Palenica Hill.
There's a small theme park on top there but no people maybe because too early in the morning.
Look at the rolling hills in the background ! They are

The Pieniny Mountain Range !Next you would see the views on The Palenica Hill & also my photos while hanging on the chair GOING DOWN !

I even had the time to look behind me; Not a good thing to do while sitting on a hanging chair going up !
Anyway, the ground below looked further down & the hill could be climbed on our feet anyway. I chose not too...Maybe Marek could do that but not me !

The sun was shining brightly & the houses look more amazing that way !

Hhmm, lovely view I thought ! You can see the green trees around the hill & also the hanging chairs but nobody was on them at that time ! I had the moment all to myself !

Bought the ticket & on the hanging chair I went ! I captured the few photos below while hanging, y'see.
First I glanced to my right, another hanging chair passing me by...

While Having Our Meals...

While having our meals, I saw a hill; It looked so inviting to me because I saw hanging chairs going up & down the hill ! I just wanted to be on the hanging chair !
I told Marek about this & I wouldn't even mind if he thought that I was too much behaving like a kid !
Marek said I could go up on my own while he would wait for me downhill, no problem I said !
The photo is showing the view of what I saw from the restaurant ! Amazing isn't it ?

We Were Hungry...

After knowing about the schedule for our Pieniny excursion (we were advised to go to Katy & after that, walking to the starting point of the rafting). You can see the photos on :

As we arrived in Szczawnica early in the morning, we decided to take the bus to Katy at noon.
So, we had ample times around Sczczawnica & maybe filling our tummy as well !
The photo is showing the are where the restaurant that we ate in, was situated...Just simple foods we had.

The Park...

A nice park in Szczawnica...called Park Dolny...shady trees....good for resting...enjoying the atmosphere...

There is another park in Szczawnica, called Park Gorny.There's a small theme park on Palenica...places to eat, with stunning views of the mountain range far away & the town of Szczawnica below....

We can actually hike or walk up Palenica, if we don't fancy taking the hanging chairs....'cos there are small paths leading up Palenica, but it's a steep climb....

After Putting...

After putting our luggage at the room, we re-traced back our steps, back to the bus station to ask the bus schedules for Dunajec River Rafting.
On the left side or rather the opposite of the bus station was this beautiful green area, filled with trees, very shady & I saw this little house, this little hut...I took a snap of that !
