CZECH REPUBLIC
The first impression as I entered the Czech Republic, I was really captivated by the beautiful sceneries in the north of the Republic, from the train looking out the window...
I was really excited as I arrived in Prague...greeted by a Czech friend, Milan.....& as we were walking out from the train station...all the buildings look so amazingly beautiful!!!!
I put my luggage at Milan's office, he works as an archeologist in Prague....& we would go out wandering/strolling in Prague city...
We went up to the highest area in Prague & the city looked more amazing from there....
I stayed in Prague for 6 days....& took many photos.....I will come back here again for sure!
While in Prague, me & Milan had an excursion to Sedlec/Kutna Hora...visiting The Ossuary & the impressive St. Barbara's Cathedral....
Prague would be my first destination in the Czech Republic...which was my 5th country visited from my 2nd trip to Europe...
Previously I was in Austria, Slovakia, Poland & Germany....
After Prague, I would continue to The Most Beautiful Medieval Town In Europe....Cesky Krumlov !
Please have a visit to all my Travel Pages on the countries above, with so many places to see, with lots of photos to browse through....
Thank You.
The Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle in the world according to the Guiness World Records. The area is 570m long covering a total area bigger than 7 football fields. Founded in the 9th century when a fortified statement was found by Prince Bonvoj. It has gone through four major reconstructions from 12th century to present.

HISTORY OF PRAGUE
Central Prague consists of five historical towns:
Hradcany, the castle district, on a hill above the west bank;
Mala Strana, the 13th-century 'Little Quarter', between the river and castle;
Stare Mesto, the gothic 'Old Town' on the Vltava's east bank; adjacent of...
Josefov, the former Jewish ghetto; and ..
Nove Mesto or 'New Town,' (new in the 14th century), to the south and east of Stare Mesto.
Within these historical districts - linked by the landmark Charles Bridge - are most of the city's attractions. The whole compact maze is best appreciated on foot, aided by Prague's fine public transportation system. Beyond the center is 19th- and 20th-century Prague, many of whose districts began as separate towns.

Awesome page! This place is on my wishlist and now i can't wait even more! Awesome photos!
Great job again Arnaud makes me feel like wanting to go to Prague
Great photos, we went up the TV tower it has babies with bar codes for faces climbing up the legs. Thnk the Zizkov tower was in the other park at the top of the hill.
This page has just reinforced my desire to visit Prague ! Have many more good journeys ahead !
What a pity you missed the TV tower, next time you must visit just for the views, wonderful page
Fantastic photography! Ooh, how I look forward to seeing Prague firsthand sometime soon. Your photos have reminded me why. If someone doesn't speak the language and wants a tour maybe by a local, what do you suggest? Contact the university perhaps?
You have included many great photos. I am going to Prague in May. You were fortunate to have a local person as a guide.
It´s Staromestska radnice (The city hall in Old Town) with Orloj
