The captain...
This is the photo of the captain, taking side way...
Excellent meal because he's also a cook at one of the hotels, he said.
The photo is showing him throwing our left over meals to the sea & the fish down below gobbled up the fish from our meals.
Hhmm, fish eating fish...
He was joking & telling stories...Kept the ladies laughing all the times !
A ladies man...
I was hungry but no rice...
The lunch hour was prepared for us, on our way to Lopud.
It was really nice, fish & cuttlefish. Big fish & I could have 2 ! I was really hungry !
It was an excellent, the fish & I was thiking about the rice...such a typical Asian tummy I have.
There were some jiuces as well, the good was ...an orange juice, but secretly mixed with alcohol !
We thought the taste was funny & asked the captain about it.
He revealed that he accidently mixed the alcohol with the orange juice the previous night before (!)...Maybe a joke from him but we were all heady & nautious by this time, especially on a boat at the sea !...
On the photo you can see the place where the fish was cooked, you could even see the fish that we were going to eat ! Delicious !...but no rice...
Beautiful beach on Sunj Bay...
Well, the Italian couple headed to the left of Sunj Bay which is the nudist beach/area on Lopud island.
I didn't follow them at first & laid my towel where all the clothes-ed people were.
had my swim, beautiful water, beautiful sceneries all around.
Then, I saw the coves...on the nudist side ! Hhm, my reason that I should go there ! Well...what else !
Slowly, walking....many people as well. careful not to step on them. While I was looking straight ahead as if pretending not to see them lying there...
The couple that I met previously called me to join them.
Little English was spoken I could hardly understood them...
I remember there was this young boy who was looking at me all the times, then asking his mum, maybe gossiping about me ! There's a blank & curious look on his face...
Maybe he's never seen an Asian, wondering why this Asian guy would want to come to their private coves wearing a swimming trunk ! i.e....NOT naked.
I wanted to take some photos but I didn't want to upset those people so I decided not to.
After like 2 hours there, I started to leave. Said goodbye to the couple & the young boy was still looking at me !...blankly & curiously...
After walking for quite some distance, I snapped a photo...which you can see on the left.
No, you can't see any nudist 'cos they were too far away by now...
The beach at Sunj Bay...
After walking for a few more minutes, we reached the beach !
Very beautiful beach indeed ! It's called Sunj Bay, a horse-shoe like bay which contained this nice beach.
There were many people actually there...Then, I saw the yachts & boats just infront of the beach. Hhmm, rich people I thought to myself, coming here by their own boats !
You can see the sight on the photo...the boats & the people lying on the beach.
The secluded path...
while the ladies were following behind me, a walk to reach the beach at Sunj Bay is very nice.
Walked through some bushes & paths/trails.
Very secluded area I thought to myself. I kept on walking, well...sort of trying to run myself away from the ladies behind me but they were walking slowly anyway.
Maybe they knew this place already.
Met a young couple from Sicily (Italy), had a chat with them. Little English was spoken...
Asked them how long to reach the beach at Sunj Bay, which is situated at the opposite side of the island as to where my boat was docked.
2 km walk, said the couple. I thought it was only 1 km.
They asked me where I wanted to go, I said just the beach. They said they were heading to the nudist beach ! Swell...
Steps...
The area of Sipan is 16.5 km2.
The biggest among the 3 islands & the least developed.
If you're after some peace and quiet and gentle hikes, this is one of the best places on the coast.
Ten minutes along the road to Suduradj, we can see the neglected villa on the harbourfront, which boosts a balcony supported by carved lions, and seems to be crying out for restoration.
Suduradj itself - little more than a clump of houses grouped around a bay - is overlooked by an imposing stone tower, all that remains of a summer palace belonging to the 16th century Dubrovnik shipowner Vice Stjpovic Skocibuha.
Next island, please...
Next on the agenda, we moved to Lopud island.
LOPUD is placed between Sipan and Kolocep and the most developed tourist place on Elafiti.
On Lopud You can enjoy crystal clear sea and beaches, the best known being the sandy beach Sunj.
The photo shows the sight as we were moving out of Sipan, going to Lopud.
Walking to Sunj & some ladies followed me...
Lopud island is the most exciting of all 3 islands.
Maybe it's developed to attract more tourists.
It is 7 km from Dubrovnik & the size is 4.63 km2.
It is a car free island.
There are shops & restaurants at the harbour. Many people as well.
I wanted to go to the real deal in Lopud, which is a beach on a horse-shoe bay by the name of Sunj.
As I was walking, 1 km away...I noticed some ladies were following behind me !
Around Sipan...
There are many small & uncharted islands around the Elafiti archeopelago.
If I had my own boat, I would chart myself on all these islands !
Look at the photo on the left. It looks like the surface of the moon or something...
Oh, by the way, on the boat with me :
An Irish couple, a French couple, husband & wife duos, & some old ladies from UK & USA.
Cheery as they were,...they were amazed of my travel stories !
Err, I was the youngest !
From Sipan Island...
Then, we moved to Sipan Island.
SIPAN is the biggest island of Elafiti, and also the most distant from Dubrovnik. There are two villages on Sipan: Sipanjska Luka and Su?ura?, placed in two counter bays divided by a plain.
Here, we were for about 1 hour & 15 minutes.
For me, just walking around the shorelines.
I could see some tourists from other tours...Not much I could remember what I was doing here except for the beautiful sceneries around the island...
