Canterbury, England
The word 'cathedra' literally means CHAIR - The seat of which the bishop or archbishop administers the religious affairs of his dioclese (the local area of which he is pastorally responsible).
There's a nice wall inside the garden as well, it looks old...This is actually The Old City Walls...
Canterbury, England
The first church built here was badly damaged by fire in 1067.
A replacement cathedral was built in 1070 but only fragments of these remain today...
Thankfully, the crypt (which you can see later in my photos...) survived.
What is 'Infirmary' ?
A hospital, or place where the infirm or sick are lodged and nursed gratuitously, or where out-patients are treated...

I just like seeing the flowers, roses I think...surrounded or rather grown (by the gardener) around the ruins...

I guess I was in love with anything 'in ruins' !

Another photo I took from inside The Kent War Memorial Garden...amidst the flowers & bushes.
There are blooming flowers grown & well-kept around the precint of this garden...& slowly we went out...

We took a rest...The garden has a monument, flowers & very nicely mown lawn...
The Kent War Memorial Garden commemorates the dead of World Wars I and II....

Now we see some benches & an entrance to a small garden...We went in.

Walking slightly further, we come to a statue...
The statue is called The Son of Man by David McFall and was placed here in 1989.
