London Night Life...

We then walked towards The Piccadilly Circus ! I took this photo of Her Majesty's Theatre...very nice building ! If you are interested, you can read a bit about the histiry of this theatre on HERE...
After this photo was taken, I started to feel tired. Well, it was about 4 to 5 hours previously I arrived in London from Kuala Lumpur !
I didn't even take the photo of The Picadilly Circus...I guess some of you maybe know why.
It's nothing to shout about, nothing worth a photo...Maybe some of you think that the dazzling neon lights worth a peek from my camera; Not to me though...
Anyway, "Let's Go Back, Pat..."
The following day, I would have a big journey to West of London : Chippenham, Malmesbury, Castle Combe, Lacock Abbey, Bath & Bristol...ALL to be covered in one day ! Phew...
Sadly, I couldn't cover them all in one day, wanna know why ?

We then walked infront of The National Gallery...
If you love art, you must enter this gallery because all the major artworks are to be seen inside.
My photo is showing the right entrance of The National Gallery, there's a statue at the front.

Pat couldn't understand why The Nelson Column was not lit up at the time when we were there...Maybe it was passed the hour.
At least I could capture this lion statue...It was dark, thank God you could see the lion on my photo.

Anyway, we took our bus (24 hours services, Pat said...) & reached The Trafalgar Square !
My photo is showing a statue in one of the ponds in Trafalgar Square & the background buidling is of course The National Gallery !
I don't know why when thinking about Trafalgar Square, I would think about The Bee Gees ! Not that I like the group 'cos they are too old for me !

And then, this phone booth !
They are of course, all over London...In fact, all over England as well. Well, in some places that I have been to anyway, check my England Page, will ya.
The 'quaint' word rings loudly when I saw this sight !
I love it, that could only mean 1 thing...the London gorgeousness.
Used to seen them in magazines now seeing it with my own eyes & captured it for us all to see...

Now, we are walking around the area of The Big Ben, waiting for a bus to take us to Soho & Trafalgar Square...
While waiting for the bus, I took this photo of a British Pub ! It was closed of course, but I could take a peek inside, could I ?

While enjoying the sights of The Big Ben & Houses of Parliament, I glanced behind me...On to the other side of The Thames.
The sight is so lovely !
Showing The London Eye which previously, I was so near...
Next to The London Eye is The County Hall, which you can also see in my previous pic.

Just next to The Big Ben, or rather attached to The Big Ben are The Houses of The Parliament...
I capture here the outside walls of The Parliament.
Very nice mock-Gothic structures....Mock-Gothic, that means, not really Gothic but rather mocking it ! NOoooo.....It was a period
of the architecture more like !
Anyway, it looks nice to my eyes...

Closer on The Big Ben !
This 4-faced clock is the largest clock in Britain.
Its 4 dials 7.5 meter in diameter & the minute hand 4.25 meter ! They are all made from hollow copper for lighness...It has kept exact time for the Londoners since it was first set in 1859...
The deep chimes have become the symbol of Britain all over the world & also broadcast daily on the BBC radio...

Now, I'm on the other side, getting nearer to The Big Ben !
I couldn't see the big bell from this view of course...but the vast bell was hung in 1858 & chimes on the hour.
4 smaller ones ring on the quater hours...
Now, we all know !
