A Good Sight in Oxford...

Walking Back To The Train Station... Memories Review

Fondest memory: This was my lasy photo in Oxford...
Passing this flowery building, could be a restaurant or pub.
So, I was in Oxford for about 2 hours & managed to accomplised a lot ! Judging from all the photos that you could see on this My Oxford Page !
No drink & no eating in Oxford...Well, maybe the previous night a KFC dinner with Pat !
I wish I could stay longer to explore Oxford.
Anyway, I had to continue with my journey; Had to reach back to London by 12 noon or so, to explore London with sweet friends, Reg & Steve...

Gate Tower of Brasenose College, Oxford

Walking Back To The Train Station... Memories Review

Fondest memory: Now, I took another photo.
This is The Gate Tower of Brasenose College, from 1512.
Very nice looking indeed !
This view is from the High Street although you can see a better view of this college from Radcliffe Square, which is just behind the wall of the gate !

Queen College in Oxford - Oxford

Queen College in Oxford

Walking Back To The Train Station... Oxford University & Colleges Review

Fondest memory: Walking along High Street, I came to the entrance of another well-known Oxford college - Queen's College.
It's dated from 1340.
It was named after Queen Philippa, wife of Edward III.
The students residing in this college are still being treated like the 'good ole days'; Like they are summoned to meals by trumpet calls !
As a tourist, you must join an official tour to go inside this college...

Old Cab in Oxford - Oxford

Old Cab in Oxford

Walking Back To The Train Station... Memories Review

Fondest memory: Saw this Cab ! How I longed to ride in it ! It must be very comfortable !
I didn't know that cabs in Oxford & also in London, still look old as this...
Thought I captured this photo to share with friends back home & now you can see it also.

Though, my 'dream' to sit in this 'old' cab was granted when I arrived back from Keflavik Airport, Iceland at 3 AM ! Hence, had to take this 'old' cab back to my friend's place in London. You can't see the night cab that I took BUT you could see the photos that I took around 'Greater London' [please click] , sitting infront of this 'old' cab !

High Street in Oxford - Oxford

High Street in Oxford

Walking Back To The Train Station... Memories Review

Fondest memory: These last few photos were taken by me as I was walking slowly, back to Oxford Train Station...
From The Bridge Of Sighs as the photo above, I took the long way route through Holywell Street & then Longwall Street, before I came to High Street.
Took the photo which you can see on the left...I could also see The Church of St. Mary's Tower !

Bridge of Sighs in Oxford - Oxford

Bridge of Sighs in Oxford

An Oxford Sight ! Oxford University & Colleges Review

Fondest memory: Taking this photo, I was out from The Radcliffe Square.
This is the photo of The Bridge Of Sighs; Fancy taking this photo once again incase the first photo that I took didn't turn out nice !
More tourists coming & more students loitering around this area...
Careful not to include them all in this photo !

2 Pidgeons in Oxford - Oxford

2 Pidgeons in Oxford

The Views From St. Mary's Church... Memories Review

Fondest memory: While going down the winding small steps of St. Mary's Church, I caught a glimpse of these 2 pidgeons, 'hatching' their eggs !
I think they looked at me in bewilderment...especially the sudden flash from my cheap camera, maybe would make them dizzy for a few seconds.
I hope their eggs are okay though...

St. Mary's Church Wall, Oxford - Oxford

St. Mary's Church Wall, Oxford

The Views From St. Mary's Church... Memories Review

Fondest memory: There are 127 steps to go up the tower of St. Mary's Church.
From the top, we can see excellent views over the city of Oxford !
These are my photos, my own views from my camera, through my eyes to the top; on the tower & descending down...
Managed to snap this photo of the church wall.
Big window & some nice decorations (figures) at the top...
Some parts are new, some parts are old.

After my photo was taken, I descended down the steps; Not easy because it's winding & have small steps...
Saw this woman (not a man...) who was pulling the rope to the bell;
I thought, " Oh ! Oh ! I have to get down fast or the bell would be ringing in my head forever !".
It's always when I'm up on any church tower, the bell would be ringing either I went up or coming down.
