St. Mary's Church, Painswick England

St. Mary's Church...

Hhmm, I took this photo of a 'table' cemetery...which were popular a few hundred years ago !
Some of the cemeteries are opened ( for not being looking after properly...maybe ) & we can actually probe inside !
Patrick was jokingly told me that we could see the corpses inside !
Gory...
!

St. Mary's Church...

Here, you can see the buildings around The St. Mary's Church; Still look like how they should look like hundred years ago !
What I like about the buildings are the exteriors, still luring people to see them...

St. Mary's Church, Painswick England

St. Mary's Church...

Painswick was originally called Wycke or Wykeham. The name changed to Wyke Pagani around 1150.
Now my photo is showing the tower of the church.
It houses a peal of bells, the earliest dates from 1686.
The number of bells was increased to 12 in 1821; To celebrate the tercentenary in 1986, the 13th bell was added & a 14th bell was also added in 1993 !

Another view of the church by the side...
Nevertheless, not all parts of this church is 600 years old because to retain it, more parts were added.
In a way, it could be said it's between 40 to 600 years old !

The churchyard around St. Mary's Church has been described as the most beautiful churchyard in England !
