Laugarnes Peninsula...

Still on Laugarness Peninsula, I pointed my camera towards the sea...Look at the clouds; Look at the horizon; Look at the grass...Just looking at my photo !
Definitely worth a great memory being in Reykjavik City !

Next, Siggi drove me to Laugarness Peninsula. It's just so beautiful !
It was I think nearly midnight but the sun was still shining on the horizon !
I could see Reykjavik from this peninsula...

Sun Craft... Sólfarið - The Sun Voyager Review

Another photo of Sun Craft by me ! Another angle of this world-famous monument !
All guidebooks must feature this scuplture as if it's so weird looking, so Iceland.
This sculpture was built in 1986, so it's not that old...It's also sits on the bank of Videyjarsund...It's easy to see as it's situated along a stretch of road called Saebraut...

Hofdi House... Hofdi House - Höfði House Review

This house is called Hofdi House.
In 1986, Reagan & Gorbachev met in this house ? What were they doing in that house, well, they talked....Maybe !
This house, Siggi told me is also haunted by ghosts of the icelandic past...Hhmm !
It's also along Saebraut road if you walk further from the Sun Craft sculpture that you saw my photos above.

Sun Craft... Sólfarið - The Sun Voyager Review

This is the famous sculpture called Sun Craft, near the bay end of Klapparstigur.
It's by Jon Gunnar Arnason...
It's supposed to resemble a viking ship but more looking like a 10-legged bug !
Anyhow, I love what I saw hence it merits a photo from my lense !
I think it's beautiful !

Around Reykjavik... Frienship Monument Review

Ahh..., this is 'the friendship' monument ! This is one of two pieces to celebrate 50 years of alliance between Iceland and USA; The other one is on the coast of Florida. A gift from the American ambassador to Reykjavik City...it symbolises the friendly and successful relations between the two nations.
Now, we know !

Around Reykjavik...

Siggi looked at me & asked, "How's everything ?".
I said, "So beautiful ! So enchanting !".
Siggi just smiled & drove me to yet more sights around Reykjavik...
I caught another sight, a natural sight !
The mountain, the sky, the clouds...Everything is so blue ! I said that again & again...
If you love nature, you MUST come to Iceland !

The Cathedral... Churches Review

This is The Cathedral ! One of the beautiful structures in Reykjavik.
It was consecrated in 1929, dedicated to Jesus Christ.
It looks so gothic & I wouldn't imagine that I would catch such a sight in Reykjavik !

Around Reykjavik... Hallgrimskirkja Review

Reykjavik was the first place in Iceland to be settled. Now, it is also known as 'The Smokeless City' thanks to its winds & reliance on geothermal heat...
Right ! After visiting the Hallsgrimskirkja, Siggi took me to the town centre...caught this church.
We were in Austurvollur Square, which can also be called The Town Square.
This is the Cathedral (also known as Domkirkja) built in 1796; Over the years, this stone structure has gone several renovations. It is now being re-built so that it would look like to its original state...
