Bus Ticket

This is my bus ticket back to Viterbo. Not easy to get a bus back to Viterbo because the buses are scarce to reach here.
My advice is to buy return ticket as well from Viterbo.
When I was in Viterbo, nobody could speak English I felt like an alien ! I couldn't find a place to put my luggage. I didn't know whether there would be a bus back to Viterbo.
At least they understood ONE word : Bomarzo.

From Viterbo, I continued to Bagnoregio.

The Buses...

These are the buses which could carry us around Viterbo, Bomarzo & Bagnoregio...( another place that I went to from Viterbo)....
They are Cotral Buses. Regional buses which travel around the outskirt of Rome & in Lazio area.

A visit to Bagnoregio is a MUST !...

...Not Easy...

...It was not easy reaching here !....I took the bus from Viterbo,..& there were like 2 or 3 buses per day to Bomarzo...
Waited for a bus about 1 hour from Viterbo...& another good hour reaching Bomarzo....
Then...waited for nearly 2 hours to get the bus back to Viterbo !....It was also not convenient..because we had to change buses, before finally reaching Viterbo...

It is wise to reach Bomarzo by your own transport....

The photo shows where the bus would drop us...so follow the road till you see The Castle & then, another road going downhill from The Castle...

The Location

Here's the map on how to reach Bomarzo. Hire a car & get there !
Buses are infrequent from Viterbo, so best to check the time-tables & make sure you buy the bus return-ticket as well if you want to back track to Viterbo.
It will be one of your amazing journey because the road from Viterbo to Bomarzo offers scenic rural Italian villages, not to mention some un-named ruins that we could see by the road sides !
