The Uffizi... The Uffizi Gallery Review

....I managed to go inside The Uffizi, browsing some old paintings, statues,....to many people this would be a must; after all The Uffizi is the world most famous museum in the world...
It was easy-peasy entering The Uffizi for me...I had a reservation also, from The Net...& I was supposed to enter this door for Reserved Tickets...but there was a big queue of Japanese Tourists !...
Next to that door...was another door saying ENTRANCE....& there was only an American couple there...
I entered by this door & telling them that if I would have entered through the other door, I would have to pay more !....
What could we make of this ?....You decide...
Photo on the left..., the 2 entrances would be on the RIGHT side of the photo...Check BOTH entrances !

Brief Moment... The Uffizi Gallery Review

I arrived at THE UFFIZI for just a brief moment at first.
I had an appointment to enter The Uffizzi (somebody did a booking for me on the Net !) but I was too early...
So, just sitting somewhere in that area, smoking...snapping photos & one I can show here.
What a great sight !
Not too many people but there were people of course.
I started to walk away, then would come back later to The Uffizi.

Slowly But Surely...

Slowly but surely, I walked away from The Duomo to the direction of The Uffizzi.
I walked pass some nice buildings & everything seemed to captivate me to the hilt !
Love the feeling of being there...
The photo shows as I glanced back & saw the GIOTTO'S TOWER or CAMPANILE , looking impressive behind me !

The Tower... Campanile di Giotto Review

I took a few more minutes, just walking around The Duomo....gawking at its impressiveness !
The photo shows GIOTTO'S TOWER ( CAMPANILE ).
You can climb this 82 meter tall tower (270 feet) for an impressive view.
Too bad that I just didn't have the time for it...

Wander Around It... Il Duomo - Santa Maria del Fiore Review

I wandered around The Duomo, surrounding it; Looking for the best angle to take my memory photo of being near to The Duomo...
I think I succeeded !
All the main sights are almost 20 minutes walk from the train station anyway (but I took a bus in reaching here).
The official name of this impressive cathedral is SANTA MARIA DEL FIORI CATHEDRAL.
It's Gothic & has the 3rd longest nave in the Christian world !

My First Photo... Il Duomo - Santa Maria del Fiore Review

This was my first photo in Florence ! Once arrived in Florence Train Station, I enquired about getting to the Duomo; Took a bus & it stopped near the Duomo !
Impressive how it looks but not easy to ake photos as the surrounding buildings are just close to one another !

Looking For David ?... David Statue Review

...Well, there are lots of things to see in Florence...if you intend to stay here for a few days, at least.
Me, I was in Florence for a few hours only...
I had a reservation by The Internet to see David, but I caught a train late from Orvieto...
...but then, when I reached florence, the replicas of David were just everywhere !....
..Big & Small Davids...take your picks...you can even buy one to be put in your car, in your toilet, in your bedroom,..on T-shirts, on backpacks, on underwears, on condoms...you get the idea...
I don't even know where the real David is !...
I caught my David almost between the lion's mouth !...

Just wander around Florence, you might come to a street where there's no tourist, no people walking between you....

It's good when you want to take a photo...you can say "There was hardly anybody in Florence that day...'cos I was there !.."...
