I think I would say my time spent in Florence as Rushing ! Rushing ! I had so far the best time of my life in Italy...Viterbo, Bomarzo, Civite de Bagnoregio, Orvieto.
Now arriving in Florence ! Felt like coming back to the civilization ! Why ? Thanks to the sight of tourists !
Took a bus straight to The Duomo, walked to The Uffizi; Had a reservation to see David but missed it ! Pas de problem (as the French love to say...), I could see David EVERYWHERE ! Naked of course, otherwise it's not David !
Also had the reservation to enter The Uffizi but I purposely entered the main door instead, not that I'm cheeky but there were too many Japanese 'hanging' by the reservation door !
Immersed myself with Florentines, the buildings more like. Approached a couple asking for the direction but was given a stern look instead ! Like saying "Why do you tourists like to ask local people for directions !? Couldn't you look at the map that you are holding & find your own way !?".
Thank God, the girlfriend of the guy (I think if he's naked, he would look like 'The David' anyway...LIMPING !) gave her bf a stern look instead & helped me with the direction ! I wish she would be Monica Bellucci !
Walking back to the train station & bought my train ticket to Lucca ! Somebody & a few somebodys would be waiting for me there ! Monsagrati more like, about 14 miles from Lucca !
Rushing ! Rushing ! Didn't do any justice in Florence, neither I wanted to stay the night ! Too many DAVIDs in sight ! And Oh ! Naked men statues are everywhere also !

A MUST SEE...

I loved Florence so much that I returned. It's such an easy city to maneuver with art/history in abundance. Your photographs are spectacular!

Exactly, no idea why, but the entrance for people who reserved the tiket in Uffizi is always much more crowded than the normal one!
