The Small Town Square... - Lucca
The Small Town Square... Piazza Napoleone Review

A photo I took in Lucca Town Square...called Piazza Napoleone. There's a Tourist Office where I changed my travellers checks...
Lucca has 2 territories, INSIDE the Walls & OUTSIDE the Walls.
If you would like to see medieval old buildings, there are plenty inside the walls.

The Streets... - Lucca
The Streets...

Via Fillungo is the busiest street in Lucca which threads through the heart of the old city !
The streets in Lucca within the walls are just so beautiful !
there are streets with lots of shops & restaurants but I chose not to take those photos/sights. Instead this quiet street/path among the houses.
It sorts of hark back in time for me !

During the 12th century, Lucca was flourished because of the silk trade.
In 1314, it fell under the control of Pisa.
The photo shows The Romanesque Cathedral of Lucca called Chiesa di San Ferdiano.

Moderne... - Lucca
Moderne...

This looks moderne but kinda retained its old charms...
Some of the buildings in Lucca are being restored & some you could still see the 'old charms' intact; You just have to walk around the maze streets !

A Base... - Lucca
A Base...

To some people, Lucca could be a good base to explore The Alpuan Alps. It is 'hidden' behind a Renaissance wall.
This place was founded by The Estruscans...& became a colony in 180 BC.
Photo shows part of the wall surrounded Lucca.
