FIRST DAY :
Reaching Cairo from Suez was a nice experience ! It was about 7 pm.
Hussein was accompanying me all the times. Click HERE if you want to know where & how I met Hussein, together with 4 workers from India. I owe them a hospitality that I shall remember for the rest of my life !
Cairo was bust in the early evening !
Hussein was so eager to take me right to Cairo Hilton so that he could see the person who would take care of me !
He asked me again & again, "Can this person be trusted ?"
"What if he's not there ?"
"He's working there or also visiting Cairo like you ?"
I dealt with all the questions.
Dragging my luggage behind me, we reached Cairo Hilton !
Came to the reception & asked for Patrick; Patrick came from behind me a few minutes later.
Introduced Hussein & Patrick to each other...
I thanked Hussein & told him that if we had the time the following day, I would see him again & maybe treating him for a good meal.
Patrick was happy seeing me, so did I !
Went up the room I saw the comfortability right away !
Drpped my luggage, my backpack & I said to Patrick that first, I wanted to take a hot shower !
Granted !
When I came out from the bathroom, Patrick said to me there's a cobbler coming in to the room !
He said it's for me !
Patrick jokingly explained, the do's & dont's of coming to a 5 star hotel...
"Look at your shoes NOW ! They were torn & tattered when you stepped in just now & in my humble opinion, they still look torn & tattered NOW !"
I laughed; He didn't !

Cairo or Kaherah is the capital of Egypt.
It is the biggest city in Africa & also in The Middle East & in some ways being called 'Mother Of The World' !
Cairo is at time chaotic, at time so quiet. Depending on which part of Cairo you are in.
The Nile flows through this city which gives birth to this city itself.
Central Cairo has almost the western planning with bridges & squares.
Walking along the corniche at sunset is amazing !
Islamic Cairo spreads accross the bazaars, including a grand mosque & the citadel.
Then, there's also Cities Of The Dead where to put it bluntly, a dwelling place among the cemeteries !
The west bank has one of The 7 Wonders Of The World !
Yes, The Giza Plateau : The Pyramids & The Sphinx...
Cairo is busy & noisy; The everyday Cairenes wouldn't care whether you are a tourist or not but the hustlers DO ! Big time !
They could follow you from morning till night.
If only you want to choose to come to The Middle East, Cairo would be your number 1 destination !
Feel it; Experience it; Like it or not at least you have been there... |
