THE MAPPING PROJECT
The Mapping Project is an organization based at The American University in Cairo, who intends to prepare a comprehensive archaeological database of Thebes.
Thousands of tombs & temples need to be protected in order to preserve them from men (robbers, thieves & mass tourism...) & nature (rising ground water, pollution & the extreme heat).
This interactive atlas would provide us all the informations (so far gathered) regarding the tombs & temples; Getting to know each tombs & view over 2000 images of this ancient site in fine details... |
