"The Quiet-Conservative Bursa" Bursa by coceng

I was glad I arrived in Bursa as it was different than Istanbul.
It was less hectic but quiet busy at times.
I came here to meet my one & only host in Turkey, Ibrahim.
Even staying with him for a night gave me a picture of the daily life in Turkey/Bursa.

I was here at the start of Ramadhan month (the fasting month), I didn't see people eating openly. Unlike in other places that I have been to in Turkey. i even asked if I could smoke in the public but was advised to just be 'low profile' in the behavior of eating, drinking & smoking.

I stayed 3 nights here. One night with Ibrahim and 2 nights at a hotel.
I made a day trip to Cumalikizik, a small village where I could see glimpses of Ottoman (houses) past.

In Bursa town, I walked around. It was a pleasant stroll, passing through mosques, bazaars, modern buildings etc.
