Kaffa coffee bar: Kaffa coffee bar Kaffa Coffee Bar Review

It's a very nice coffee and drinking bar but mostly known but it's unique coffee. There are a lot of recipes, I just stated my favourite ones.
They make coffee only of coffee beans, serve it in with separate cream, so everybody cab add the cream by his'her own taste.
The price for coffee is from 12 to 20 UAH, which is about 3-3 Euro. The interiour is made in a Soth American style.

That is thwe place where my two small VT meetiongs took place : with Lothar aka lotharlerch and Sonja aka yumyum.

Favorite Dish: Columbian coffee, Mexican coffee, cofee with rum, Indian

Pantagruel: Cosy Tavern near Golden Gate Pantagruel Review

The menu is mostly "european", if can say so. Very diversified, from salads to fried beef or chicken.
And good wine of course (how can I forget my reputation, lol)

The very little network of restaurants (only 2 for the time being)
Very popular, especially in the evening and at lunch-time due to the good quality of meal and reasonable prices.

Favorite Dish: The known Ukrainian food (borstch, varenyky, etc)
and a lot of others (rice, poultry, many salads)

Comparison: less expensive than average

Directions: one in the very centre, B' Khmelnitskogo st. and anothe one in Podil (downtown), near Contractova square

Restaurant "Hymalaya": Do You like Indian food? This place is for You :)) Himalaya Review

This restaurant was opened quite recently, I suppose about 5-6 years ago in the cafe buildiing near the main street Khreshatyk.

Favorite Dish: We ate lamd with rice and sauce.
It was the 1st time I tried Indian food and I liked it.

Comparison: about average

Directions: Near Khreschatyk, look for Grot cafe, this restautant is right over the cafe, just go a bit upstairs.

Pilsner pub: For beer-lovers

A nice pub in the centre of the city. There are a lot of different beer marks served there with some nice saulted pastries and spicy snacks

Favorite Dish: I'm not beer-, I am wine-lover, but there are some wine there too.
I drank red dry, which was nice

'Vechirniy Kyiv', cafe-bar: 'Vechirniy Kyiv', cafe-bar

The time of big lines near the public bars is now in the soviete pass but here there are quite often a problem to find a place especially in winter time.
But the atmosphere inside is very nice and menu is also good.

Favorite Dish: This cafe is certainly one of the most popular places here. Because of its delicious ice-cream and reasonable prices.

Directions: The very popular cafe,, I think everybody knows it and will show you where it is. In so-called 'Passazh', near Kreschatyk (the main street of Kyiv)
