Poetic Armenia

by IngaA - last update: Dec 1, 2008

the one who is called "ancient and young"

Armenia
One of the most ancient countries in the world. Contemporary of the Roman empire, it is more than 3000 years.
Yerevan (ancient Erebuni) is the capital of Armenia. The country is situated in Caucasian mountains, in mountains themselves, not in the valley, which gives the very poetic feeling when you cross its border. If going by bus or by car, you can observe everywhere the traces of ancient civilisation and the centuries seem to countdown to the past.
