The second country of Europe by territory, after Russia, located in the Eastern Europe, one of the "new-born" countries of former USSR who gained their independence after the breakdown of Soviet Union. Vast territory from Carpathian region to the black Sea coast.
When talking to people, unfortunately I am mostly asked about Tchornobyl, the sad memory, whereas there are so many places, which are definitely more worthwile of visiting and discussing.
My Ukrainian page can be rather classified as a whole as "Off the beaten track". I want to disclose a little medieval town to the south-west of Ukraine, which I could not find in the list proposed by VT. It's name is Kamyanets-Podilskiy.
- Pros:nature, cities, vodka, folk dances
- Cons:economical difficulties
- In a nutshell:Ukraine is not only Vodka + Salo (pork fat)!
