Toulon was a military port, and it still is. Formerly it was a "closed" city but now it's open for tourists. Sityated on the Mediterrainean coast, overcrouded by tourists in summer-time, it gives a nice relaxing atmosphere of the resort marin city. 5 hours by TGV from PAris and you get there!

Known only in Geography text as a military town. Seems to be an interesting town comparable to our Yokosuka maybe?

I never knew Toulon was "closed". I visited it frequently in the navy. Alas, it was winter every time I was there. Nice town though!
