So little time

by local7460 - last update: Dec 18, 2002

Coming home

I was at school in Windhoek many moons ago and have only been there once after that so this short, three day visit, was like coming home.

I was very interested to see how the country has changed since I was there last time - for the better, I think.

I was more than pleasantly surprised to see the very clean streets with no hawkers and, being Afrikaans speaking, to see how widespread Afrikaans is spoken and understood.

Going back to my old school, and remembering how to get there from the centre of town, brought back some good memories.
