Fondest Memory: I do not understand Pachinko... and why people spend few hours sitting down there looking at the machine. My friend told me this is a kind of gambling, one can exchange for money, charlolate, biscuits, toys, etc with the metal balls. This one is located in Koiwa, a suburb small town. Most shops closed at 8-9pm, while this 2 storey Pachinko still open and fully packed with customers, amazing!

Fondest Memory: This is a common scene you'll see when you get in a train a Tokyo... Everybody, no matter they are checking phone mail, sleeping, reading book, or just sitting down there, everyone have no facial experssion, no smile, and no talk. I felt uncomfortable with this in the first few days. Then I found myself started to fall into the same stereotype thereafter...

Favorite Thing: Lockers everywhere in Tokyo. You'll find at each train station, main shopping clubbing areas. You don't have to worry carrying big bags, there's always space for you to lock your things for few hours.

Fondest Memory: Living in the garden - home or homeless? Some people cannot afford paying high rental in Tokyo, many of them choose to live in a tent. When we are working hard to maintain our 'life style', have you ever step back to think that... what if our house/flat is not surrounded by 4 walls? no elevators, no security, no property management, no car park... When all traditional elements of 'home' do not exist, What will our life become?

Fondest Memory: A gorgeous and luxury example of Tokyo urban redevelopment. This land was earlier used by a brewery named "Ebisu Beer". And here is where our VT crews met up for TOKYO BEER FESTIVAL 2003! Yebisu Garden Place offers a variety of restaurants, from fast food to fine dinning, Department Store, boutiques and cinema. Came out from JR Ebisu Station, went through the elevated moving "Yebisu Skywalk", the spacious square with glass arch covers really impress me!

Fondest Memory: At the end of the Ebisu main square, you can easily see a lovely European style building. I though this is preserved old buildings, but in fact, it is a classy French restaurant. Newly built imitation of European architecture.

Fondest Memory: Tokyo Tower - The object of attacks from Godzilla - was erected in 1958 as a broadcasting tower. Taller than the Eiffel Tower in Paris, make it the world's highest self-supporting iron tower. Tokyo Tower can be seen from far in many places. This night view from Roppongi is VERY BEAUTIFUL! I heard that the tower will change colour to match different seasons. Orange colour for spring/summer.

Fondest Memory: Japan is the nation of vending machines. You can buy almost anything from them - condoms, sanitary towels, batteries, tobacco, soft drinks, beer, hundreds of varieties of canned tea, train tickets, instant noodles, sandwiches, you name it.

Fondest Memory: Although there are te most talk-about high tech toilet in Tokyo, some public places (especially train station) still maintain old squat toilets. Most of them are clean and provide toilet paper, although there is exceptions.
