Patpong Night Market, Bangkok (THAILAND) - Bangkok

Patpong Night Market, Bangkok (THAILAND)

Patpong Night Market Patpong Night Market Review

Bangkok's largest night market where you can find practically everything. Clothing, clocks, watches, leather goods, silk, souvenirs, etc, but you must be able to bargain well! Most items are 500% over charged. The main products on sale are ready-to-wear garments with many imitation brand name items, Versace, Gucci, Levi's, Nike, etc. Also available are pirated CD's, DVD's and videos, computer software, Rolex watch copies and the like.

Directions: 10 mins walk from BTS Sala Daeng Station.

JaTuJak Market, Bangkok (THAILAND)

JaTuJak Weekend Market Chatuchak Weekend Market Review

JaTuJak (or ChaTuChak printed in some books), approximately 35-acre, the biggest flea market in the world. A visit is essential. It open only on weekend, Friday to Sunday from 0800 to 1900. The best time is to go there early in the morning or late afternoon when the sun not so hot.

What to buy: The market is divided into 30 "region" by product types, it sells thousands different local products including pets, handicrafts, plants, fresh fruit, antique reproductions, shoes, toys, clothing and domestic utensils, and just about ANYTHING else YOU CAN THINK OF. Almost everything you see in Silom, Patpong, MBK, you can find them here with better price, no or little bargain. The market is SO BIG that it's not relly possible to finish all shops in 2 days.

Directions: 10/4 Soi Rajchakru Phahonyotin Road.

Push Cart outside Siam Center, Bangkok (THAILAND) - Bangkok

Push Cart outside Siam Center, Bangkok (THAILAND)

SIAM CENTER Siam Center / Siam Discovery Center Review

With only one street across MBK Center, the shops here in Siam Center are very much different from those in MBK. It feature branded clothing, fashion boutiques and accessories, and restaurants. Besides world labels, you can find some local designers here, such as Soda Shop, Jaspal, and A-Z. Undergarments are cheap here. Wacoal is selling 60% off HK prices plus more styles to choose from here.

Address: 444 Phayathai Road, Phatumwan.

Directions: Connected to BTS Siam Station.

MBK Shopping Center Mah Boon Krong(MBK) Review

MBK (Mah Boon Korn) - 6 floors shopping complex with lotsa small shops selling assorted goods, from jeans, sport shoes, handicrafts, copy bags, computer hardware, to handphone accessories. Everything you can think of. It is crowded especially at weekend, lotsa bargain (in fact, bargaining everywhere in Bangkok).

They have a supermarket "TOPS" at the basement, a food court at 6/F, good value. Also, it attached with TOKYO department store, lotsa choices of valued orioginal branded stuff. Check it out!
