This is my first visit to Phuket, also my first vacation with Helmut. This island is much bigger and expensive than I expected. And it is very touristic. It was starting of raining when I was there. Luckily, only encountered half day rain during our five days visit. Thus, resort was not packed. I cannot believe how loaded it will be during peak season, must be over flow. |
The resort is nice, but bar scene was boring, VERY BORING! There're only 2 things in Patong... Girly A-go-go bar for the sex tourists, and bars for soccer fans (I was there during Euro Cup). If you're not into these 2 catagory, sorry, no choice, you can choose to go shopping or sleep in your hotel room. With sleeping and eating, and sitting in the bar drinking (no dance club), I put on 5 lbs in 5 days, Gess!!! |

I prefer the out of the way places on Phuket, but it looks like you had a great time. The intro pic is a clever idea. Is it hard to walk with one big foot and one little foot? |
