Seattle - more than Grunge! | Seattle at night from Kerry Park |
There really is more to do than I can ever list. As with any city there are shops and restaurants that open and close every day so it's hard to mention anything as it may not be there by the time you visit. Regardless, one of my favorite places to go in Seattle is the Queen Anne area. You can see beautiful homes and get a great view of the city from Kerry Park. You can get a great photo of the city in the background through the 1969 steel sculpture, Changing Form, by Doris Chase. During the 4th of July you can join the masses and get some great photos of the city ablaze with fireworks shooting from the Space Needle. |
|  | The Pike Street/Farmers Market Another favorite place is The Pike Street/Farmers Market. You can see some pix under places to go while in Seattle (below). It's a great place to shop around and people watch. You really could spend a whole day down there just walking around and through the many shops. Here is a link to my Seattle pictures. |

Excellent restaurant choice but too bad about staying at the Commodore -- sounds horrible. For a nice but inexpensive hotel I'd recommend the College Inn in the U District. | dsantosh Mon Sep 15, 2003 03:19 UTC
