How I am going to miss Portland!!!! One of the best things about living in Portland is the ability to meet great people with interesting backgrounds. I guess one might say that it is a product of living in a metropolitan city. I am lucky enough to have a great circle of friends with different lifestyles and yet we all hang out and play well together. Pictured to the left is one of my partner's in crime... Amanda [aka Mandy]! Mandy [VT: AmandaJae] has been a friend for years. She and her son Alex are a part of our extended family. Other friends also add to great photo opportunities like Jennifer's house warming party. I hear the police had to shut it down?! We missed it as we had already headed off to Pasha's.

The hubby and I were married in July 1991 and managed to stay baby free until Nov. 1992 when our 1st child was born. We joke that we went for the college plan as the next kid came in March 1998 and our last monkey joined us Sept 2002. Having three boys is great as they are not as high maintenance as girls. We are now officially parents to a teenager which is weird. At any rate we look forward to seeing was Park City has to offer us and the boys look forward to exploring new places.

The hillsides here in Utah are amazing. I was worried that once we left Oregon we wouldn't have the ability to hike, bike and play as we did in Oregon. Maybe the ability to do so is because we live in the mountains of Park City. Either way I am just glad we have opportunities to do the same outdoor adventures that we have been used to.

Well ...as with any move you lose the ability to hang out with one set of friends - but gain some new exciting faces. Working at a resort has the perk of meeting a lot of fun loving people and it makes the day fly by.

In just about every Park City postcard you will see McPolin Farm. It is not a working farm but they do host many functions there. There are benefits as well as downfalls to living in a trendy little town like Park City. You will get a lot of crazy folks passing through during the ski season (Dec to April), as we have some of the best snow in the world. The Sundance Film Festival (in January) brings more paparazzi and celeb’s than this town needs - yet it is fun! Ski season brings international flare as the resorts (we have three within minutes of each other) hire from out of country. All in all it is a neat place to live – although it can be pricy!
